The Ammoora Spirit List

Tequila and mezcal, gin, whiskey, vodka, liqueurs, and cognac, alongside a dedicated collection of Arak, the anise spirit of the Levant.

Lion's Milk

Pour the Arak.

حليب الأسد

Known in Syria as ḥalīb al-asad, Lion's Milk, Arak is more than a spirit. It's a cultural rite. When water is added, it transforms from clear to opalescent, a quiet bloom of tradition and chemistry. The drink is strong, yet smooth; fiery, yet elegant. It is meant to be savored, not rushed.

The pride of the Levant, clouded with ritual, bold with anise, and made to be shared.

One

Pour the Arak

Start with one part Arak in a traditional glass or small carafe.

Two

Add Cold Water

Slowly pour two parts chilled water over the Arak, and watch the transformation.

Three

Finish With Ice

Add a few cubes of ice to preserve clarity. Sip slowly, between bites.
